CLASS OF 2013 BABY!!!!!!|
just got my packet in the mail. :)
haha thats what my friend said. he likes the uniforms better
life is best easiest at USAFA, by sophmore year, you get all the privileges reserved for seniors at most other academies at least thats what i hear *shrug* anyways congrats in a way, but you have no idea what u just got yourself into muhahahahah!!! enjoy your time home for now
But true... haha, yeah it's easier. But is that any reason to go somewhere that's supposed to be challenging?
We have the best upperclassmen privileges and the most challenging 4th class year. freshmen year sucks. thats the way i like it :P
Misty, I'm pretty sure we spent hours discussing this and finally firmly established that USAFA is both more challenging, has a better officer development program and a higher level of academia.
The only thing you all have going for you is you can walk off base.
And warmer winters
And a football team that can win the commander's cup...
and random breathalyzers...
wait, that's not good.
hahaha thats like my highschool
and usafa winters can kiss my... &^%##@
good for ski/snowboarding tho...
After Four winters on the hill I'm now in Mississippi and I barely noticed winter. I wore a jacket once maybe.
You don't get a coffee maker, a fridge, a car, passes you can use during the week, or access to Haps (the Academy bar) as a 3 dig, and you have to sit CQ for hours and you'll never get out of marching; those are about the only differences.
Ahhh Haps. I should have done that more often. I never regretted going.

Congrats, you may be i the same class as my son. He received his offer letter last week and one from West Point after visiting them for two days. He will be visiting the USAFA in a week and will decide then what is best for him. I don't see a date on the offer when he needs to reply by. Anybody know the date for sure??
My son will be running track for whatever academy he decides on, this is a great way to avoid many of the daily routine of marching and formation and such. Plus they travel off campus to meets. Another great way to make it through the first year lock down of a cadet.
My boyfriend got his appointment for c/o 2013 too!
